The Kampong Bharu Cultural Design Festival is a cultural initiative inspired by the 126th Anniversary of Kampong Bharu, celebrating one of Malaysia's most significant urban heritage communities while shaping its future for generations to come.
More than an annual celebration, the festival is a platform to reconnect people with the living heritage of Kampong Bharu through culture, design, creativity and community — transforming it into a vibrant cultural destination.
Positioned at the meeting point between heritage and modern Kuala Lumpur, with the iconic KLCC skyline as its backdrop, the festival presents Malaysia's cultural identity in a contemporary and globally relevant way.
The event volume now unfolds across three seasons — August, October and December 2026 — each with its own character and programme.
